Why are you running for this office?
I am running for office to bring common sense back to government, end the lockdown and reopen the economy. Hawaii is being atrociously led into financial ruin. In addition, these mandates have cast a dark cloud over the aloha state. Dignity, human rights, and common decency have given way to a spirit of cold suspicion and fear. This is due to a complete lack of leadership and wanton disregard for medical science. A neighbor recently explained how she was tested for covid before giving birth, and that, if positive, her baby would have been removed from her in those first critical weeks. It is our moral imperative to take action lest we become another gulag archipelago.

What are your top two goals and how will you achieve them if elected?
Hawaii’s economy is in free fall and the city, without change, will soon run out of money and possibly collapse. My main goal is to avoid bankruptcy while preserving essential services.

What do you think about the state of women in Hawaii's elected and appointed public offices? What have you done to support women in government? What will you do?
I believe women excel in any area they endeavor to succeed. This includes elected and appointed public office. I will continue to provide those opportunities in my administration.

How would you address concerns about a lack of transparency at all levels of government?
Currently, Hawaii’s sunshine laws are suspended by the Governor. His 60 day emergency powers have been over for 2 months. This is unconscionable and part of my reason for running.

Do you support automatically registering people to vote when they apply for a driver’s license or state identification card, provided they can voluntarily opt out of registering. (Senate Bill 2005 passed the senate and is currently in the Hawaii House Judiciary.)
I’m not familiar with the details of this bill.

What, if any, actions would you work towards in your first 100 days to address the threats facing Hawaii due to climate change?
The greatest threat to Hawaii right now is not climate change. It is a collapsing economy. I will be focusing on that.

Do you believe the response to the COVID-19 crisis could have been improved, and if so, how?
Yes. The flawed Imperial model has been followed in spite of the enormous evidence against the original projections. Apart from the compromised WHO, nearly all evidence has proved that Covid was not nearly as deadly as we were first led to believe. Virtually all of the lockdown mandates are unnecessary and my first act in office will be to lift the mayors order and instruct the police department to be passive in any enforcement.

YES! Bud's got MY VOTE!
